PADDLERS ABREAST RECREATIONAL PADDLING

Are you are a breast cancer survivor?  Or a supporter of someone who is?  Would you like to paddle in a fun, supportive environment?   If so – this opportunity is for you!!!

No experience necessary.

All we need is you; and a willingness to show up - rain or shine.

Paddles and PFDs are supplied if you don’t have either.

If this is something that interests you, we’d love to hear from you! Please email us, before the end of April, with the days and times you are available. From there we can plan a schedule that works for the majority.  Paddling starts as soon as the ice goes off Schwatka Lake usually mid-May.

Potential paddles:

·         1-2 hours on a weekday evening.

·         Longer paddles on weekends.

·         Participate in the fun paddle races that Flat Water Yukon puts on if paddlers are interested.

·         A camping trip on a lake or river sometime in the late summer or fall if paddlers are interested.

·         It can be whatever paddlers want.

·         If you have your own kayak or canoe, you could accompany us for paddles.

·         You can commit as much or as little as you want.

·         But we need at least 4 experienced paddlers in the boat

(minimum of 6 total paddlers /maximum of 12 for safety.)
